Cat Swamp Farm is a small-scale agroforestry and native plant nursery located in Unity. It focuses on propagating regional native plants and producing sustainably sourced lumber. The farm promotes ecological health by supporting pollinators, wildlife habitats, and soil and water conservation through its locally adapted plant offerings.
Cat Swamp Farm cultivates and sells a variety of New England native plants, including Joe Pye weed, boneset, blue vervain, golden alexanders, and willow shrubs. These species are grown from locally collected seeds to preserve regional genotypes beneficial to pollinators and wetland ecosystems. Seasonal plant sales encourage restoration of local habitats and landscape biodiversity.
