Cedar Glade

A cedar glade is a rare, open natural habitat characterized by shallow soils over exposed limestone or dolomite bedrock, with scattered cedar trees and specialized native plants adapted to hot, dry, and rocky conditions. Despite the name, cedar glades are often more notable for their open grassy and wildflower-filled areas than for dense cedar cover.
