Patty Shipley started her nursery as a platform for educating visitors on the beauty and importance of native plants. Her background in natural medicine also played a pivotal role in hers venture, as she firmly believes there is an intricate connection between human health and the well-being of our environment. Urban sprawl and development have chipped away at the spaces wildlife needs to survive — by planting native species, we can help piece that web back together. ​Every yard, park, and roadside can make a difference.

Louisville Native Plant Nursery is a small, locally owned nursery focused on growing native plants for Louisville and southern Indiana gardens. The nursery specializes in regionally adapted plants that support pollinators, wildlife, and resilient landscapes. During the Spring and Fall, they offer online plant sales with local Saturday pickup.
