The Milkweed Patch LLC sells a variety of Midwest native milkweed and fall blooming nectar plants that benefit monarch butterflies and other pollinators. Our plants are grown without pesticide or synthetic fertilizer. Only plants native to the Midwest are considered when our inventory is expanded.

At the heart of their business is an unwavering obsession with native plants, and their numerous benefits to the ecosystems of the Great Lakes State that they call home. Since that first season they have installed over 120 native plant gardens, cleared numerous acres of invasive species, and grown over 80,000 native plants that have put down their roots in SE Michigan soils.

Michigan Wildflower Farm was founded in 1988 and located in Portland. They are a producer of documented native Michigan genotype wildflower/grass/sedge seed, and supplier of Great Lakes Region native seed. They provide ecological landscaping services and on-the-farm educational workshops. Michigan Wildflower Farm is a working farm open by appointment only.

In order to make native plants available to everyone, we welcome orders from anyone interested in native plants! This includes government agencies, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and homeowners. Our native plant inventory contains only those native plant species that were existing in northeast North America before European settlement.

Missouri Wildflowers Nursery grows and sells more than 300 species of plants native to Missouri. In addition to wildflowers, they offer native trees, shrubs, vines, grasses, sedges, and ferns.

Midwest Natives Nursery is a production greenhouse located in Lincoln, Nebraska that specializes in the cultivation of Great Plains-native perennial wildflowers and grasses. Every one of their 300+ species of native wildflowers and grasses are straight-species (or non-cultivar), meaning they have not been bred by man for specific qualities, and thus are the absolute most natural and diverse plants you can find.

Morning Sky Greenery offers exclusively nursery grown stock. No plants are dug from the wild, with the exception of a limited number of plants acquired from rescue operations. Most of our seeds are either collected from our own nursery stock, or with landowner permission from local plants. We are careful not to deplete any area of its natural source of seed. Seeds we cannot collect ourselves are purchased from reputable wildflower and grass producers. Specific information about the origin of any of our seed and plant stock is available upon request.

Meadow City was founded by a group of friends who love nature. Then we read Doug Tallamy’s book Nature’s Best Hope.
